A Modern Approach To An Ancient Medicine
Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It has been used for many thousands of years to effectively treat the underlying basis of many disorders. The acupuncturist considers the whole body including the patient’s symptoms, the tongue and the pulse to develop a complete picture before making a specific diagnosis and prescribing a treatment. Acupuncture offers a truly holistic approach to diagnosis and treatment of conditions.  Karen A. Brown, L.Ac. has a Masters in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Five Branches Institute and is state licensed to practice Chinese Medicine in California. She is part of the faculty at Five Branches Institute and an active member of Los Medicos Voladores, The Flying Doctors. Karen uses a warm and supportive approach to work with patients to understand their medical condition and explain how Chinese medicine can address their problems. She believes strongly in patients combining the benefits of both Chinese and Western medicine to achieve the best results.
